The competitors will first compete in two groups of four. Three videos from each group with the highest number of votes will move on to the semi-final. Voting will reset and the six qualifying competitors will compete in the semi-finals. After one week, voting will restart once again, and the three most popular videos will face off in the final. The video with the most votes will then be crowned the Excavator Hero of 2022.
